Our community was founded by a group of freedivers in May 2021 after realizing that no such community in the state of Georgia existed at that time. This community is for anyone who is interested in or has a passion for freediving, no matter if you've taken a course or not. Our goal is to help develop a community that is capable of helping and encouraging the wonderful sport of freediving in the great state of Georgia and surrounding areas. If you are new to the sport or are an experienced freediver, then this community is for you. With your help, we can organize and coordinate meetups where you can practice your *static apnea, *dynamic apnea, and *depth goals by using the buddy system. This way we can all safely continue our journey to becoming better freedivers no matter where we live.

Aghali is a passionate freediver and the visionary founder of the Georgia Freediving Community (GFC). He created the GFC so that free divers who lived in the state of Georgia could find each other, make new friends, and have dive buddies for safety.
As the community grew larger and larger, Aghali found himself running a free diving community without the support of a certified freedive instructor after realizing that there were no instructors left in the state of Georgia.
Feeling responsible for his community, Aghali decided to embark on a journey of intense training that involved learning from several highly respected and renowned freediving instructors. This extensive training was not just a personal pursuit; it was a commitment to equipping himself with the vital skills, knowledge, and safety measures that are essential to run the great freediving community he had built.
By investing his time and effort into mastering these competencies, Aghali aims to provide his community with the support and guidance they need from an instructor. His dedication ensures that all members of the Georgia Freediving Community can dive safely and confidently, benefiting from the highest standards of freediving education and practice.
