Buying your Freediving Course
Your course will contain everything you will need to know to start your freediving journey. Included in your course will be your electronic academic training materials through the MYSSI app. Making it convenient for you to study anywhere you want. This way you can start studying right away! Not only will you have this course via the MYSSI app but you will also have two (2) in person classes and two (2) confined water sessions to practice your new found skills. Fitness evaluation
Although there is not prerequisites for freediving, We will need you to fill out a medical form prior to starting. Some SSI programs have a required water skills and stamina evaluations. In the specific program training you will must be able to swim 100 meters ( 6 laps in our pool) successfully, prior to any in-water training, prior to any open water training, or prior to certification.
Basic Equipment
Although we recommend you be equipped with a "Total Freediving System", you'll at least need the basic essentials prior to starting your freediving course. This consist of a Freediving Mask, Snorkel, and Freediving Fins! Other essentials you might consider are a freediving Fin Bag, exposure / Freediving wetsuit, rubber weight belt, neoprene socks, and a freediving computer / watch. There are plenty of other freediving toys you can get, but this list would complete your Total Freediving System.
